Cream of the Crop CSA has always taken pride in ensuring that “Community” comes first. We go above and beyond to serve those who need special assistance or accommodations, and this year will be no exception. At distribution, you can expect:
- Social distancing
- Pre-boxed shares
- Volunteers have the option to work separately and independently
- Masks and gloves as needed (consistent with city and distribution site guidelines)
- Senior and immune-compromised members will have designated collection times, if needed and requested
- We hope to once again offer delivery service (for an additional fee).
What types of memberships do you offer?
Full Season Summer/Fall CSA: This past season, we are offered 22-week seasonal memberships from June 21 through November 15, 2022.
We also offered a shortened “Vacationer’s Share” 13-week membership to accommodate those who are away during most of July and August; pick-ups for Vacationer’s Shares are only during the months of June, September, October, and November.
Once you choose your Veggie Share, you can add as many Add-On Options as you wish to customize your weekly haul. Our HUGE selection of Add-On Options include fruit shares, farm fresh brown or araucana eggs, milk, yogurts, pastured pork or poultry, 100% grass-fed beef or lamb, cow and goat cheeses, bread, and more! We even offer KOSHER poultry and dairy items!
From time to time, we also have special items for sale on-site. Last year we were able to offer additional ears of corn, tomatoes for canning, cherry tomatoes, and locally foraged lion’s mane mushrooms.
Where and when do we pick up our veggies each week?
The dates for the 2023 season will be posted in late Spring. Our freshly harvested produce is delivered from the farms to our distribution site on the UWS, at the Church of St Paul & St Andrew, 263 W 86th St at West End Ave., every Tuesday. Members collect their shares at the site anytime between 4:00 and 7:30 PM on Tuesdays.
